Introduction
I wanted to paint all of this along with the Contrast dark elves, but on these 4, even after the Munitorum Varnish/Grey Seer combo, Contrast paints (as well as washes) behaved like water on a hydrophobic surface. So I needed to go in heavy handed, the old fashioned way.
Painting
Here's pictures of them, after I realized that I should take some, while applying the basecoats.
Rely on the usual painting tips:
- Heavy Violet, highlighted by mixing in Dead White
- Heavy Red, highlighted with Gory Red and Bloody Red
- Dark leather (boots)
- Medium leather (straps)
- Cold white (hair)
- Speed painting silver
- Shiny gold
- Grey fur
- Dark wood
- Warm white cloth
- Painting cobblestone
- Skull
- Black skin
Finishing
Spray varnish. Glue the miniatures on bases.
Fill out the bases with Stirland Mud. Drybrush Khaki.
