Painting Greater Possessed as Word Bearers

Introduction

I bought half of Shadowspear some time ago... time to prepare for the new Chaos release.

Preparation

Keep the backpacks separate on corks for ease of painting. 

Plastic glue the models to bases. Glue some Sector Imperialis bits on. Fill out with putty.

Painting

Paint the power armor, as per the painting tip. 

Then block out everything else in Wraithbone. To be honest, I originally wanted to go the conventional route for the flesh with Heavy Skintone, but I already had Wraithbone out, so why not.

Then paint all the bone and flesh. I achieved an acceptable blend on the claw with the Contrast paints.

Paint the white cloth, black hooves and eyes.

Paint the tongues Ork Flesh, then highlight Scorpy Green.

Paint the white cloth and all the random eyes. 

Base

Marble for the statue fragments, silver plate with Gore Grunta Fur rust streaks, cobblestone colors for the mulched up ruins in between. Work towards weathering the cloth but instead of the brown palette use grey - drybrush at the same time as the cobblestone.
