Painting D&D Ghouls

Time to paint these ancient miniatures to experiment with yet another zombie skin paint scheme.

Painting

Prime Grey Seer.

Plaguebearer Flesh.

Dead Flesh layer.

Off White highlights.

At this point I had also worked on the other details:

  • Medium skintone hand
  • Dirty red cloth pants
  • Bloody Red sinew, then Blood for the Blood God!
  • Nuln Oil teeth for extra creepiness
  • Dead White eyes, then Aethermatic Blue glow
Then it's unto the Simplified wasteland base. However, I am running out of Stirland Battlemire and tried out GSW Middle Earth paste. It's a lot grittier and so stays in place easier. After a couple of hours, I moved on to painting it, but chunks came off when drybrushing. I'll try leaving it overnight next time.

Spray varnish, then glue on some frozen tufts which work well as dried out grass as well.

Finished!
