I thought I had a larger variety of hobbits, but it turned out I had 5 Frodo miniatures and an armored Pippin.
Painting
I already primed them Grey Seer by the time I painted the slapchop elves and discovered how well that works for camo cloaks. So I did a poor man's slapchop by painting the cloaks Basilicanum Grey, then double drybrushing Dead White.
I tried both Militarum Green and Gutrippa Flesh. Decided to stick with Militarum Green.
Highlight Dead Flesh.
Pippin is easiest to paint:
I then painted all the Frodo's in an assembly line fashion. Basecoat all the Contrast stuff first.
Work up to some painting tips:
- medium skintone
- dark pants
- Dark vest
- Gore Grunta Fur overcoat, Khaki, Hot Orange
- Brown hair
- Warm white cloth shirt
Common elements:
- diluted Wyldwood over the hairy feet
- Painting eyes
- Speed painting silver swords and Pippin's armor
- Shiny gold buckles, chains, rings
