Painting commission naga as Heroes 3 Naga Queens

Reaper snake demons, totally following my previous Naga Queen... with a few hiccups.

Primed white by airbrush.

Painting

While one of them was totally fine, the other was hydrophobic. Why Bones, why...?

I doubled down on the Contrast and then applied the Ghost Grey highlights as a heavy drybrush to hide the splotches.

But when the Flesh Tearers Red came out like this... I sighed and gave up.

I switched to regular acrylics, basecoat the tails Scarlet Red, the black Black and so on. I was undecided on the sash for a while, but I did not want to depart from the Naga Queen color scheme, so I painted it Dark yellow cloth to match the gold ornaments. But basecoated Heavy Goldbrown instead of Contrast.
