Converting and painting 3d printed Escher proxies as Kasrkin and Cadian officers

The second batch of 3d printed Escher-Kasrkin also include officers: Cadian Castellans for the squads, as well as an Ursula Creed proxy. Besides the random colors, I got to experiment with transparent fabric.

Conversions

I think this is supposed to be a very well endowed death maiden (in the hair department, but not just there). She has a clawed right hand and some sort of pistol in her left. This gave me the idea to make Cadian Castellans.

Chop off the pistol as best as possible. Then I had a load of plasma pistols printed, chopped off the handle and glued it on here.

This squad leader has a chainsword. Chop off the sawblade, and glue on a space marine power sword blade instead.

Finally, this sitting body is supposed to be for some sort of vehicle, but I just stacked up ammo crates from the nuns and other vehicle bits in lieu of a melta bomb.

Painting

Prime wraithbone. Do the common base elements: Painting cobblestonemarble and Rusty metal.

First do Contrast basecoats on all of them. Then break out the wet palette and highlight everybody, also do patterns on the clothes and medium skintoneeyes where applicable. Blue plasma coils.

Green hair lady

Well green and burgundy, but the burgundy base color is the same for all 3 Castellans.

Sigvald Burgundy and Striking Scorpion on the hair. Lots more Burgundy, along with Doomfire Magenta for dark pink and Volupus Pink for light pink.

The yellow spots are actually on a white undercoat. Lots of white highlights on very light colors.

Dark green hair lady

Well more turquoise, so paint the hair Ork Flesh, then coat Terradon Turquoise. Same pink paints, but also Ultramarines Blue pants and Leviadon Blue shoulders and bras. Highlight Electric Blue and Ultramarine Blue.

Blue hair lady

Painted the hair Pylar Glacier (or it could have been Aethermatic Blue), then feathered out Ultramarines Blue in patches.

Similar palette for the highlights.

Transparent fabric masks

Purple tones, to imitate the purple tattoos. This was right after painting the skin, so I had the colors on the wet palette.

Basecoat Heavy Violet.

Glaze Heavy Skintone.

Highlight with a mix of Heavy Skintone and Pale Flesh.

Coat Magos Purple to establish some shadows and tint the fleshtones. It came out heavy handed - I should have diluted it.

Super highlight with the same mix.

Power sword lady

Experiment more... supposedly basecoat with Grey Knights Steel, a bluish silver, which I made by mixing Electric Blue and Chainmail.

Dilute Kroxigor, paint 2/3 of the blade, feather out.

Another layer with diluted Stormfiend. Edge Silver.

Coat everything diluted Talassar Blue. This meshes the colors and the bad feathering together nicely, but the sword also loses definition. On the fence about this one.

As for the wielder...

Lady sitting on bombs

Same dark green hair as before.

Bright blues with Frostheart. Paint the ammo boxes Black.

Dual pistol lady

To be used as Ursula Creed whenever attached to Kasrkin. Reuse the veil color scheme.

Do not blend the hair feathers, just paint Aethermatic Blue, Sigvald Burgundy and Bad Moon Yellow one next to the other.

Blend Ork Flesh into Bad Moon Yellow for the hair.

Finished!
