Painting an owlbear

I painted up this WizKids (I think) owlbear along with the kodiak bears.

Painting

Prime white. Paint the furry part as a kodiak bear.

Coat the feathers Black Templar. Paint streaks of Wraithbone.

Wash the feathers Nuln Oil.

Drybrush the feathers Stonewall Grey. This replicates well enough the kind-of checkered pattern of this owl I looked up. However, it also has brown streaks on the front. I drybrushed very light Beasty Brown in several layers, localized as to where the owl was brown on the picture.

Paint eyes and go over with Lamenter's Yellow. Volupus Pink inside mouth. Agrax Earthshade claws, highlight Bonewhite. Coat the beak Basilicanum Grey.

Basing

Woodland base.

Finished!
