Painting D&D animals

A group of D&D boardgame animals painted in various schemes.

Common details

Prime white, where applicable.

Predators generally have yellow eyes, so paint eyes and go over with Lamenter's Yellow.

Black Templar noses. Volupus Pink inside mouth. Agrax Earthshade claws. Highlight the teeth Bonewhite.

Painting wolves

Brown fur

Painting leopards

Basecoat 1:1 diluted Skeleton Horde.

Coat the back Nazdreg Yellow. Feather out across the sides.

Use a small brush and do patterns using Black Templar. Research the shapes on Wikipedia.

Face details.

Painting an eagle

This miniature was already painted brown and washed, I think. I repainted the basecoat and followed these steps.

Woodland base.
