3d printing, converting and painting Astra Militarum tanks: Chimera
Follow most steps from the support tank article. In fact, I am reusing the tank bodies here; I just created new magnetized options. Don't know if I'll ever need more than my two existing Chimeras, but I created four extra turrets, just to be sure.

Game 5: Free Folk vs Lannisters
Ah, my old enemy. I hoped not to get this matchup, but alas, that is how the pairings worked out. Welcome to the battle of ultimate refuse flanks.
Game 4: Free Folk vs Martells
I dreaded this game from the beginning. Martells are the most gimicky faction that I know of. Here's them against my refuse flank, with sacrificial trappers on the right flank.
Game 3: Free Folk vs Targaryens
I'll be honest here - this game was the most stressful I every played. Just look at the number of pictures I took.
The Targaryens obviously had dragons, so I skipped Mag in favor of the infantry list. As usual, I sent the Thenns forward to taunt and tank.
Game 2: Free Folk vs Starks
This game went a lot differently. Instead of the all-out brawl, my opponent played very tactically and technically, and while I tried to match him, I instantly knew I was outclassed. I literally broke my brain playing this game, and I took less photos.
Game 1: Free Folk vs Baratheon
For the first game, I was still calm and collected. Lots of photos. I obviously out-deployed the Baratheons, so here's my refuse flank.

3d printing, converting and painting Astra Militarum artillery tanks: Basilisk, Wyvern
Continuing the Astra Militarum tank backlog, here's the remaining artillery tanks. These have big, and I mean really big, guns, so the small magnetized gun mounts could not hold them. I had to devise a different method. Follow most steps from the support tank article.
3d printing, converting and painting Astra Militarum support tanks: Hydra, Deathstrike, Manticore
It's been a while since I painted my nun-piloted tanks and I got the craving for more. However, I don't just want to paint a regular tank black and insert some nuns. Coupled with my new-ish 3d printing obsession, this lead me to experiment with the little open back transport vehicle the nun kickstarter included. Add in a few elements, and here comes the artillery.

Dungeon of the Mad Mage: Vampire endgame
The adventurers, along with Billy Butcher, pursued the dragon into the next room. There, they were greeted by whatever mobs fled along with the dragon, a vampire mistress and her bodyguard. Unwilling to join the vampires, the adventurers attacked, and on the vampire's prompting, Billy turned against them.

Painting D&D kobolds
Along with the rest of the reptilian crew (Yuan-ti Broodguard, Troglodytes), here's a bunch of simple kobolds miniatures from various D&D boardgames. Kobold Dragonshields and Dragonlords from Wrath of Ashardalon; Sorcerers and Skirmishers from Castle Ravenloft.

Masks of Nyarlathotep: NYC investigation, parts 3-4
After a 6 months hiatus, the players reconvene to continue their investigation. Buckle up! Also, here's a picture with all the new props our Keeper provided: cards for any relevant people we meet with a portrait and space for notes.
As expected, we spent a lot of time trying to remember what we actually did, how the investigation went, and who did we meet. Notes and blog posts to the rescue!

Tempestus Scions finished!
In preparation for a Bridgehead Strikeforce, here's my complete collection of nuns to be used as Tempestus Scions. The literal painting tip is based on them so the only thing not mentioned there is the melta gun muzzle burn.
Converting and painting flying nuns as Tempestus Aquilons
I have previously converted and painted a bunch of flying nuns as Tempestus Scions, with their jump packs representing deep strike capability. Well now the Scions loose deep strike in favor of the Aquilons. Who also have different loadouts and a different sized base. Sigh. Why do you do this, GW.

May review and June goals
Ever trucking forward. Some real life monkey wrenches but generally all good.
Warhammer 40k... I am just so pumped for this. We even had a 2v2. I'll get another one in, as soon as I can. More Dungeon of the Mad Mage. More Monty Python. Restarted Call of Cthulhu. Everything looking good.
Painting wise, I got plenty of stuff done. Some simple D&D commissions. Finished more ASOIAF free folk. I did a huge photo session, getting them out slowly over the coming weeks.
In June, I'll be focusing on the remaining Astra Militarum models, although I'm pretty sure at this point I can't get everything done during the month. I'll start with the scion transports, and we'll see how much artillery, eschers and other stuff I can cram in.
Monty Python's Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme: The Princess Bridle
With two previous participants not, erm, participating, and the third one having his character digested by a sentient blancmange, we started our next education programme with a brand new cast, including Sir Ni-no, an aspirant Knight of Ni; Gandalf, the enchanter; and Connor McFly, a churl breeding flies on his collection of plague dead bodies.
Monty Python's Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme: Close Encounters of Dessert Kind
The participant characters, including: Uzi Jesus the monk of the Lunatic Religion, Ficus Cukis the roman noble, and Wibbleto the brianist eremite, started off by restoring order in a small town. A bunch of people were arguing in the main square, lead by a rude couple with no respect for decorum. They shat and threw up in public, but were dealt with as is proper with such ruffians. Apparently they got everyone drunk at the last elections and got themselves elected as guild masters. With that out of the way, the upset guilders told about the shipments of clothes being stolen. All headed to London for the world tennis championship at Wimbledon! The participant characters were then hired as caravan guards, with Ficus insisting upon being paid in nature. As in, clothes. All good.
