Joining my line-up of inquisitors is Torquemada Coteaz! Of course like everybody else, I hate the new miniature. But I don't have a separate eagle. So let's get crafting.
Eagle conversion
The miniature is 3d printed and the left arm holding the eagle is a separate piece. I had an extra printed and hacked off the hand. Then cobble together this base using imperial statuary and some other leftover terrain. Glue the arm to a fallen column - done. The eagle is sitting on ruins.
Add more decorations, you can't have a large Warhammer base without skulls, and finally fill out using terrain paste.
Painting the eagle
Prime Wraithbone, then apply some painting tips:
Now, on to the eagle. Paint Wyldwood. Dryrbush Khaki.
Too palid - coat Agrax Earthshade.
Reinforce the separation between the layers of feathers using Nuln Oil.
Dot highlight the ends of feathers Khaki.
Paint the beak and legs Heavy Goldbrown, coat Agrax Earthshade, then highlight Moon Yellow.
Paint the eyes white, then Aethermatic Blue.
The eagle sitting on the guy's arm will get the exact same treatment.
Speaking of, on to the guy. First of all, I dropped the mini, and hammer grip broke off in several pieces. I fixed it using green stuff, then covered it up using chains.
Start with the biggest areas:
- NMM gold
- Bright red (Contrast)
- Brown fur (Contrast)
- Painting cobblestone (Contrast base)
- Inquisition base
Follow up with:
- medium skintone
- NMM silver (violet tinge)
- Medium leather book cover and hammer grip
- Painting scrolls
- Painting purity seal wax
- Cold white skull decorations
